AQUACEL foam dressings have a variety of layers including a waterproof top layer that permits evaporation of excess moisture while protecting against viral and bacterial penetration. They also have a soft, absorbent foam pad to absorb excess fluid and a Hydrofiber® layer that gels on contact with wound fluid and helps provide an optimal environment for wound healing. Finally they have a gentle silicone adhesive that provides skinfriendly adhesion, easy removal and demonstrated low potential for dermal irritation or allergic contact.
